We're betting that everyone ended the year planning for what the next one will be and folks here at The Sunshine Studio are no different. We were looking at our planning session schedules, long weekends, holidays, shopping seasons, sporting events and voila - we have just outlined for ourselves what probably makes a very social, social media content calendar. With this up our walls, we realised, it's definitely worth sharing, saving you all some good time in planning for your social media content topics for the rest of the year.
Halfway into January, we're in for double headers. Brands may cheer on their fave tennis superstars in the year’s first grand slam title, the Australian Open kicking off without defending champion, Novac Dyokovic. It has always been one of the sports played with such intensity and dedicated fans, we’re looking forward to some bigger surprises. If you’re in sunny Singapore, it's the perfect time to align content with self expression, creativity and breaking out of norms with a feature on the annual Singapore Arts Week that runs until 23 January. Supporting local artists and their latest multimedia creations installed island-wide is always positively inspiring.
The rise of the omicron variant transmission, especially here in South East Asia has significantly raised concerns and brought back tighter physical distancing measures, but we are hoping that the second and third quarters of the year will be healthier for everyone. While we’re erring on the side of caution, we can't help but wish for better times ahead. We’re looking forward to more Vaccinated Travel Lanes to be announced, the rise of experience travels and a more regionally happening retail and F&B scene. How we miss the bustle of Orchard Road and the rest of our little red dot, we can’t wait for the confirmed dates for the annual Great Singapore Sale!
And finally, our four year wait is over! 2022 will be ending with the biggest sporting event in the world, the FIFA World Cup. With 8 stadiums, 32 countries and the first Middle East country hosting the event, Qatar, football fever will reach its peak! Expect us to be glued to its Twitter account for first dibs! Just a heads up to our beloved clients, we could have a solid gameplan - if we agree to block off dates for the games of our favourite teams and the finals together, it's gonna be an even greater season!
